    •Yield curve steeper with long yields higher. Positive for cyclicals

    •US dollar lower, usually positive for equities and commodities

    •News: Housing starts and building permits due 8:30; China is on holiday so lack of Evergrande news

    •Stocks: UBER raised guidance; LEN earnings affected by supply shortages; JNJ booster 94% effective; COP buying RDS Permian assets

    • S&P futures bounced directly from the close Monday and pulling back into the open. ES 4350 or SPY 435 are key levels that need to hold.

    •VIX futures are currently not inverted  but close to flat so risk  remains
