Swing Trade Ideas – March 4, 2021
Market View
World markets are negative with USA, Europe, Hong Kong, China, Asia in the red. USA dollar is higher which is negative for foreign markets and commodities. Yield curve is slightly flatter which is giving a small reprieve for large cap tech. The bond market is the main topic and with Powell speaking the topics are an extension to the supplementary leverage ratio exemption and a re-launch of operation twist. Positive words from Powell could be extremely positive for large cap tech and the inverse is also true. Premarket the USA markets are muted with the Nasdaq close to the bottom of the expected move for the week and the S&P500 holding the Friday lows. S&P500 breaking below the overnight low 377.99 would be significant. We may see muted trading into Powell’s speech with potential for strong move up in TLT and FAANGM and weakness in financials if Powell’s comments regarding the bond market are well received. Repeating the mantra that all is well might not be well received. S&P500 and Nasdaq are negative gamma so selling will beget selling but a bounce can be V shaped and violent back to 390 in a NY minute. Keep your head on a swivel.

Stock Idea; LVS
Las Vegas Sands is selling it’s Vegas property and will be more focused on Macao. Macao is improving with vaccines and China opening up visas. This is a longer term idea and not a day trading idea. Look for a dip to 64 for entry
