Market View

World markets are mixed with USA mixed, Japan red, Europe green, Hong Kong, China green and Asia mixed. Yield curve steeper is positive for financials. US dollar higher is weighing on commodities, which are under pressure. USA markets are mixed after major earnings reports. S&P500 is flat and the other indices are slightly red.  GOOGL is up on a strong beat with good advertising revenue and providing a boost to FB ahead of it’s report. MSFT beat but is trading down.  SPY is leading the USA markets with less impact from earnings. DIA is down with MSFT and Nasdaq is down with TSLA and MSFT not compensating the rise in GOOGL and FB.  With Fed meeting today and AAPL, FB reporting after the close, today might be a period of digestion. Some stocks that are worth watching today are FB for a run into earnings; AMD and SHOP for continuation after beats; TXN for a bounce after good earnings; and PINS, which is down 10% after earnings.
